I am not seeing all of my team's scheduled time on the Master Schedule.
After you go to the Master Schedule page from the Association tab, be sure to check the box that says "Show Non-Games". This will show all scheduled time regardless of whether it is a practice or game.
How much will this cost?
The fees for the 2016-2017 house season are:
6U (Mini-Mites): $520.00
8U (Mites): $520.00
10U (Squirts): $610.00
12U (Pee Wee): $610.00
14U (Bantam): $700.00
Are all or most games played on the same rink?
Most of our house games are played at Chiller North, however, due to limited ice and the number of hockey teams in Central Ohio, We do schedule games at other local area rinks. Information about each rink can be found here.
How long is the season?
The house hockey season begins in Mid to Late September with on-ice conditioning and evaluation skates. Teams will be formed after evaluations and play through February and the end of season house season.
What days of the week are games and/or practices?
Teams practice on the same day each week and will usually play one game on the weekend.
Do all of the kids play equal time or do the rules allow that weaker players do not play as much?
At the house level, all kids should receive equal playing time and be given an opportunity to try different positions (as they move up in age group, they tend to stick with the same position all season)
I can't make one of the evaluations, what do I do?
We understand that it may not be possible to make every evaluation. We like to have each skater receive at least two evaluations but we understand that it may not be possible due to other commitments. If you can make one of the other evaluations for your skaters age group, please call ahead to see if there is room in that session. If you can not make any other sessions, please let the evaluators know that you can only make the one you are attending that day.
What is the purpose of House Evaluations?
The main purpose behind House evaluations is to get a reasonable idea of each players current skill level. During each evaluation session, there are between 3-5 coaches in the stands"grading" the players on a 1-5 scale. At the end of the evaluation period, the league coordinator (along with the coaches input) do their best to create equal teams based upon how each player scored.
When should I pay the remaining program fees?
All fees are due by September 1st, the CAHA
will send out invoices indicating your balance due.
I don't like the drop-down menus, is there a way to disable this feature?
Drop-down menus have been introduced for the horizontal tabs at the top of the site. You can now navigate almost anywhere without having to actually change pages. This feature is on by default, but can be turned off by clicking on the Drop-down Menu check box at the bottom of the Association tab.
